This is a WONDERFUL blend of Chenin Blanc and Viognier. If you like the dryness of Chenin Blanc or the sweetness of Viognier, or if you don’t tend to like either one, you’ll probably love this wine! This blend is great for both lovers and haters of the varietals, as it blends them harmoniously to make something very flavorful and unique. It drinks easily by itself or with lighter food dishes, and is refreshing during warmer days. Pick it up for $9.99 at Total Wine in Tustin. Don’t forget to check out my blog at www.OCWineAndLifestyle.com, or the Facebook Fan Page for OC Wine and Lifestyle. Also, after the show, stay tuned for a quick slide show of my newest listing in Tustin Ranch, CA. Happy Tasting!

2004 Staglin Family Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2004 Staglin Estate Cabernet is an incredible treat! Enjoy cedar and fruit on the nose followed by a big, rich spicy palate interlaced with bold fruit flavors. This is a fantastic special occasion wine – definitely not to be missed. It’s priced accordingly, and this one can be purchased for about $150.00. Find a great occasion to pick this one up and enjoy it. It’s truly a gorgeous California Cab. Happy Tasting!

Cremant de Bourgogne Sparkling Wine
The Cremant de Bourgogne Sparkling Wine is nicely priced at $10, but not the greatest when it comes to flavor. While it tends to be pretty light and crisp, it lacks a great mousse and the refreshing quality that you get with a more light and crisp sparkler. In my humble opinion, this would be better enjoyed as part of a mixed champagne cocktail like a mimosa or a Kir Royale, than on its own. But you don’t have to take my word for it! This one can be found at your local Trader Joe’s, and might not be a bad one to try. French 75 Bistro, Laguna Beach
I took my family to French 75 in Laguna Beach for Easter Sunday. Yes, we were there when the land started to rock, roll and sway…It was interesting, to say the least! I’ve visited other locations of French 75, like when they had their Irvine location which is now the Lazy Dog Cafe… but had never been to this adorable little French cottage. Their menu always pleases, and on Easter Sunday, they had a special brunch menu that was absolutely outstanding! May I recommend their souffle to finish off a wonderful dining experience when you visit this place! It’s romantic, has a good wine list, and is perfect for special occasions. Don’t miss this spot next time you’re in Laguna Beach! If you’d like to check out home prices in Laguna Beach, visit the home search section of my website. Ibiza Lounge on Saturday Nights, San Juan Capistrano
For anyone looking for a good time on Saturday nights, this could be a winner. If you’ve not been to the Ibiza Lounge, it’s a great spot to dance and mingle. It has a nice outside patio and quieter places further from the DJ to converse with friends. The Cat & the Custard Cup
I recently visited the Cat & the Custard Cup after many years, and was so pleasantly surprised by what a lovely dining experience I had! The property itself is so charming and romantic, and to top it off, we were seated by a fireplace. The service was wonderful, the menu was fantastic, and the wine list….well, let’s just say it was “extensive.” If you’re looking for a beautiful restaurant with unstoppable ambience, delicious dishes and a lavish wine list, The Cat & the Custard Cup will be sure to please. I would also highly recommend the pan seared salmon with a bottle of the 2008 Rombauer Chardonnay, which of course, they have on their wine list. For their location, menu, wine list, and info about their in-house wine shop, please visit their website at http://www.catandcustardcup.com/.
